The Mara Big Five Camp is located right at the Talek river, just a few minutes away from the Maasai Mara. Eight tents with the well-known rustic safari-style are at the guestsâ disposal. With the unbelievably close proximity to the surrounding wildlife, spotting wild animals by car and foot from the camp is possible.
The Masai Mara is an animal paradise: Here lives lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras, wildebeest, rhinos, crocodiles, spoonbills, Thomson gazelles, and hippos. Among the lesser-known species are zebra mongooses, baboons, warthogs, servals, hyenas, bushbabies (Galagos), and 400 species of birds.

Access
Masai Mara is 260 km from Nairobi and takes 5 ½ hours drive by road and 40 minutes by air.
Transfer from the airstrip to the camp takes 20 minutes.
The airstrip is serviced by:
- Safarilink – from Nairobi twice daily
- Air Kenya â from Nairobi twice daily
- Charter flights as scheduled
Climate
Mainly humid, with temperatures averaging 26°C during the day and 12°C at night. Long rains are anticipated from mid-April to May and short rains from November to early December.
