Meal Plan: Half board – includes two meals. One of them is breakfast and the other is dinner.
A minimum stay of 2 nights is applicable during peak season and long weekends.
Conservancy fee:  KES 2,000 per adult and KES 1,000 per child up to 12 years per stay giving unlimited access to the animal orphanage and a selection of activities within Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club and Mount Kenya Wildlife Conservancy.
Terms and conditions
Single room supplement: 70% of the Half Board Rate for the regular season and 80% for the Peak Season.
Full board supplement: KES 4,000 per adult per night; 50% for children between 6-12 years.
– Rates are strictly for nationals and permanent residents of Kenya and the East Africa Community.
Child Policy
– Child (0-5) sharing room with parents at no charge.
– Extra child (6-12) sharing room with parents at KES 6,000; applies to all rooms except premium units.
– Children in their room are charged 50% of the adult double room rate.

Deluxe View Room

The Deluxe View room offers breathtaking views of the majestic mountain. One can relax with a steaming cup of tea as you watch the sunrise against the poignant mountain backdrop. Guest Services

Nestled in the lush foothills of Mount Kenya, Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club is strategically located on the Equator. The rooms, suites, and cottages reflect the original charm of the residence complete with modern-day amenities. An array of exciting outdoor activities include golfing on the Equator, horse riding in the forest, animal orphanage visits, a fantastic slopes breakfast, and bush dining.
  • Babysitting – Babysitting services are available upon request.
  • Concierge – The Concierge Desk is located in the main lobby of the Club and the team will gladly assist you with private dinner reservations, transportation, and bookings for local excursions.
  • High-Speed Internet – Complimentary internet access is accessible on the property.
  • Laundry Services – Laundry services are available to our guests (fees apply). For same-day service, please inform Royal Service and have your laundry ready for pick up by 10:00 am. Delivery will be done at 6:00 p.m. the same day. If the laundry is picked up after 10.00 a.m., delivery will be done the following morning.
  • Wheelchair Accessibility – The hotel is accessible to those using wheelchairs. There are several wheelchair-accessible guest rooms, some with roll-in showers. For more information or to place a request, please email us.
  • Currency Exchange – Reasonable amounts of foreign currencies can be converted to Kenyan Shillings.
  • Gift Shop – The gift shop offers a wide assortment of souvenirs, postcards, books, and memorabilia, as well as Kenyan artifacts and jewelry. The gift shop is open daily from 8:00a.m. to 10:30a.m., 12:30p.m. to 3:30p.m. and 6:00p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Medical Services – A clinical officer is based on-site and is available on a 24-hour basis.
  • Room Service – The service is available throughout the day.

Golfing by the Equator

The resort has a scenic 9-hole manicured golf course. It is interspersed with ponds, and sandbanks and is the only course bisected by the Equator in Africa– allowing one to leisurely cross from the Northern to the Southern Hemisphere.
The course has been redesigned to mirror international golfing standards and has seen a new interest in corporate firms making their way here for a round of golf.
The property’s picturesque landscape lends a serene atmosphere and ideal backdrop for teeing off, whilst the weather is perfect, never too hot or cold to putt a golf ball.  The Club offers an additional ‘fun’ night golf option on hole #1 for events at the golf clubhouse for corporate guests.

Equator ceremony – Equator Ceremony: Celebrating living on both hemispheres at the same time. Did you know that the line of the Equator runs through Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club? Our Equator Ceremony which is popular among guests is a unique celebration as you cross from the Southern Hemisphere to the Northern Hemisphere. This special moment is celebrated with local Kikuyu songs and dances. You will never forget this memorable occasion as each guest who participates receives a signed Equator Ceremony certificate from the Safari Club.
Animal Orphanage – Visit the animal orphanage for an opportunity to learn more about wildlife and help in the conservation of the critically endangered Mountain Bongo. The Animal Orphanage is located within the Mount Kenya Wildlife Conservancy. The orphanage is home to the endangered Mountain bongo which are less than a hundred worldwide. The orphanage is also home to the injured, neglected, abused, or frightened wild animals where they are taken care of to release back into the wild where they belong. Get a ticket to visit the animal orphanage from the gift shop. All ticket sales are part of the donations that go towards the conservation efforts and daily maintenance of the animal orphanage.
Nature walk – Book a date with Mother Nature by taking a 3-hour scenic walk, as you venture deep into the lower slopes of the revered Mount ‘Kirinyaga’ as the locals call it. Get to spot a few animals which include the shy Burchell Zebra, the Great African Caped Buffalos, and the waterbucks just to name a few.
Bird Watching – Mount Kenya is a bird paradise for bird-watching lovers and early morning birding in the forest is ideal for you to see different species within the conservancy. Join our resident experienced bird walk guide who will help you explore the over fifty bird species in and around the hotel grounds. You’ll search for our feathered friends and learn more about bird-friendly habitats, passage birds, and those that make a permanent home at Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club. Binoculars are provided during the bird walks.
